Lots of stuff

Since I got lazy and decided not to photograph any new items last Tuesday and Wednesday, I now have twelve pairs of earrings, five chokers, three spider webs, and two bookmarks (no partridge in a pear tree, sorry) to take pictures of!

I've been using my lunch break at work to make new things, and it's great as long as I remember to pack the beads, findings, and cords I had in mind!

I am really excited about October starting up. Work has been wiping me out lately, but I hope to be okay enough tomorrow to haul some Halloween decorations up the stairs. I have a few new pieces out, but none of the oldie-but-goodies. The Rock & Gem Faire is on the 12th - 14th, and I'll be there on the 12th. I asked for the day off months ago, and I don't feel bad at all about leaving my coworkers to catch up... things there have been strained.

But back to the happy topic of HALLOWEEN: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! That is all. :)

Very Exciting!

I've had a wonderful influx of sales lately, and it is really lifting my moods and inspiring my creativity! That's twelve items sold this month, whereas last month saw only six!

I am working on more spiderwebs, a special order of a bracelet and choker for a friend, a re-creation of a personal choker of mine for another friend, an inquiry for new mothers from someone who knew me a while back, and my sister has requested "something with green". Have I mentioned that custom orders are the butter on my toast? :)

A huge thank you goes out to my mother, who has been handing my business card out all over the place. As a result, I've had an order from an old family friend whom I am beyond pleased to hear from again, and a coworker of hers. Both of them got a pirate necklace. I'll be doing my best to restock that category, as another one sold just a few minutes ago!

To put the spotlight on another creative endeavor of mine, Project 366 is still going strong:

Featuring a month and a half of things I've seen, done, loved, hated, laughed at, cried at, and have left me in awe.

Time Is On My Side

Being sent home sick bites the big one as far as finances go!

I have, however, been able to sit down, relax, and so far have made six new pairs of earrings, two are in the works, and I'll finish another choker tonight if I don't slack.

I have been pleasantly surprised by an influx of sales in the last week, so I bought myself a goodie:
Spiderweb Candle Shelter

Traded a goodie:
Little Jack O' Lantern Earrings

And fell in love with almost every pendant in this store:
The Intuitive Garden

I am still constantly amazed by what people out there can do.

My penis earrings are in a Treasury on Etsy!

This is a mature audiences only Treasury, so if you're under 18, please do not click:

Someone also picked one of my spiderwebs to be in this Halloween Treasury!

I am SO happy that fellow Etsy sellers picked items of mine to showcase like that. :D

Happy Autumn!

To celebrate my favorite season, I'll be listing new items all week long!

Keep an eye out for new charms, chokers, earrings, and of course, Halloween goodies!

Tagged!

I was tagged by Vivika

Here’s the deal: I get to tell you 6 random things about myself, and then in turn, tag 6 others to do the same. This vicious cycle continues forever. Here we go!

1. I sort my candy before eating it. It needs to be in even amounts, then I give the odd pieces to other people. Jelly Bellys pose a definite problem!

2. I only watch TV when I'm crafting. This means I catch a lot of little bits of things here and there, but am rather incapable of following an entire show's season.

3. I am constantly amazed by how many other drivers attempt to drive ON TOP of my car, as if I have some kind of cloaking device. I think I need to paint it hot pink.

4. I am a wannabe morning person and neat freak. In reality I'm a night owl and very messy.

5. I know how to make the perfect carrot cake. I have never messed it up!

6. October is my favorite month, and I am so excited about its arrival!

So that’s a little random info about me. It’s my turn to tag, here we go:

Sweet Spice

McFarland Designs

Caffeinated Crafts

Three Ravens

All Things Littleput

Anodyne Design

New news is good news.

I just listed that puppy: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=7128339

I love this design I'm working with. I like the hoop-and-button closure a lot. For some reason, I think it presents itself as a more completed piece than the chokers you have to tie. Of course, the tie ones have more size flexibility!

I have about eight of them made in a wide variety of colors. I need to head off to Beads! to buy more waxed linen (don't I say that every week?). Other destinations for today include: Target, Grocery Outlet, and the post office. Post office has to be last, as I am currently out of bubble mailers. That's a good sign. :)

I made a custom bracelet and sold it today. She wanted earthy colors, so I knotted up beige, olive, and brick cord with nine labradorite beads. One of the beads has super bright yellow flashes. It really is a lovely little piece and I hope my buyer adores it!

Purple.

Contest

I'm doing Project 366 (it's leap year!) and I can't decide which picture to use for today.

They are all here:

Leave a comment there or in this thread telling me which one you like best and why, and my favorite comment will win that cute pair of prehnite and quartz leaves earrings. :)

As Promised

A picture of some very proper young ladies:

This was after our game of Candyland.

Good Morning!

My boss called a half an hour ago and gave me the day off. According to him they are too short-staffed to cover the food service I plate for, so he's shutting it down. For the record, I put together a cheese & charcuterie plate that is paired with four wines from the winery I work for. I am the ONLY person who does the plating there. I did SIXTY EIGHT plates yesterday, and will happily take this day off!

So, what to create? I'm having fun working with the small chain I purchased two weeks ago, and am liking the results of the different knotting technique I picked up. I still have more beads for my Happy Halloween section as well!

Speaking of Halloween, all features will now be cute & spooky, and I moved the section to the top! I sold that amazingly cute pair of pumpkin earrings a few days ago, so I'm all excited about the prospect of selling more!

Enjoy your day, everyone. :)
