Too much out, not enough in.
I need someone to tell me to stop buying supplies!
I am going to get into Celtic knot jewelry. And by that I don't mean buying silver knot pieces, I mean making the knots myself with cords. I've already figured my way through a Josephine knot and am working on a button knot. I know I can do it, but this project is requiring: a book on Celtic cord knotting, 1mm waxed cotton (the waxed linen is too sticky), and large-drill beads to fit on the waxed cotton. I've purchased all these and they are on their way, but my credit card now has $7 left on it.
I also am working with DC Designs to make me polymer clay Halloween beads! I'm really excited about these, and you just have to check out her Etsy store to see why!
Still no word on any jobs for me. I send out probably 30 resumes a week and get nothing but spam from weird hiring centers that want me to enroll in special training programs.
I hate to say it: but it looks like I am going back to retail. Hopefully I can get something in walking distance to save on gas. Monday will be the day I go sell my soul back to retail hell.

So much to do!
I am absolutely going to participate in the Etsy Labs Wall Project. (blog here) (flickr here)
It's going to be a real challenge to keep a jewelry item affixed to a 4x6 notecard, but I am going to try.
The Etsy Creative Challenge #55 is pretty neat. My mind is pushing around a few ideas here and there.
Unfortunately, I'm sick. I've been exhausted for weeks now, and my stomach is acting odd (even compared to its usual nasty hijinks). I went out to buy my memory card and some basic supplies today, and the smell of everything in and around the stores made me so nauseated. The wind hurt my skin! :( I'm taking it easy today.

EEEE!!!
Father's Day gone wonky: Dad is going to buy me (technically reimburse me because he lives 55 miles away) a 512 memory card for my camera! No more running around like a maniac trying to get my batches of photos done!
Yay for dads!
He also seemed impressed that I researched the stones we found on the beach. They are mica schist, which is a boring name. I am calling them Siren Stones. A really impressive piece he found for me is quartz schist, and one he found for my sister is tourmaline schist (edit: more likely to be hornblende complex mineral after more research).
(I should make him a card or something.)

Kittens Don't Help.
I picked some mint yesterday and was drying it for a prosperity spell I planned on starting about now.
Well, five minutes ago Klunk jumped on my altar, dug the mint out of my cauldron, AND ATE IT!
I am flabbergasted. I understand that mint and catnip are related, but why she picked RIGHT NOW to eat it is just beyond me.
Speaking of my wonderfully helpful kitten, here she is helping me decide which cord NOT to use next:

Moments before she decided the aqua cord was hers and tried to make off with it. Note the deviantly observational face.

I have, despite kitten "help", managed to get all these made. They will be photographed tomorrow and listed through the next week.

I have been without a job since May 21st. I managed to get one temporary position for ONE DAY (they changed their minds) the next Friday, and that has been it. I am really in a frightening position right now! It is difficult not to allow the stress to get to me.
Thankfully, a dear friend of mine loved her special orders and bought enough for me to make minimum wage today! I am so pleased with that!
I have made my first attempt at wire-wrapping a stone for a pendant. The prototype is around my neck and will stay there for the next few days to test durability. I may post a picture soon.
I am about to try out my first wire sculpture. I think a straight-forward tree will be the best thing to start out with!
Wish me luck!

While bored...
My best friend made fun of me for not fixing a slow leak in my tire for over a month, so I finally went somewhere to have it taken care of. I was kind of put off when they gave me an estimated one hour and ten minutes, but I stayed because it was a free service. I sat with my beads and made 3/4 of a special order choker, 1/2 of a pirate choker before I ran out of burnt orange cord, one pair of earrings, and four pairs of mini earrings. TWO HOURS AND FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER and they finally took five minutes to patch my tire. I was cold, hungry, and CRANKY!
Here's a peek at what I haven't listed yet:

I was using macro instead of super macro and everything kind of looks like crap. I'll need to re-take all these tomorrow.

Oh, and here's a bee:

New Things.
New things in my life, not my store. ;)
A dear friend of mine just moved to my city today. I met her in 3rd grade (1989) when she jumped out from under a desk and bit my leg! What a great pair we have been ever since. She has been beading for a few years now, putting together countless pairs of earrings and stretching out to bracelets and necklaces. Her work is absolutely beautiful, and we (her friends) have been trying to get her to sell them for a while now. Tonight after I helped unpack about 20 boxes (and we only made a small dent in the mountain), she showed me how to close the top of my earrings correctly. I am very pleased! One tiny change, one great improvement. One more friend near me.

No love.
People seem to have disappeared off the internet and found other things to do. My inbox is silent. My LJ friends list is filled with chirping crickets, and my new item:
Behind The Wheel - amethyst and carnelian earrings
just aren't getting any love.
Ah well.
